There has been an alarming rise in obesity among children in the last 30 years in the U.S. alone. Suffer due to the rising number of obese children has become a significant problem in our country and places a lot of health problems for our children. There are about nine million children under the age of 6 who are overweight in the United States alone. With this growing problem that many health problems have an impact on the lives of ourChildren.
Children who are overweight have a much higher potential risk for diseases such as cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, liver disease and, just to name a few. There are many factors to argue that a child may be overweight, and the environment a child is not the only factor considered obese. Factors that contribute to a child to be or obese are genetics, nutrition and the environment. If a child has parents who are overweight, then the child has a veryhigher risk for obesity, such as DNA can not be changed. Children today need to be exposed to healthier foods and nutrients instead of eating at fast-food restaurants. Children who eat more nutritious foods like fruits / vegetables, fiber-rich products, low-fat dairy products and homemade food has a positive influence on the weight of a child. Even a child who is a greater burden of physical activity into their lifestyle also has an influence on the weight of a child. Our lifestyles areencouraged early in life, so if you lead a healthy lifestyle and nutrition, encouraging our children will lead to the same lifestyle. Parents who will take over this responsibility certainly reduce any health problems that can lead to obesity.
